Help Us Protect Free and Fair Elections

Volunteer to Protect Elections

We work to make sure elected leaders answer to the people—not to wealthy donors or special interests. Government should work for everyone, and we’re organizing to make that real.

Our endorsement process puts power directly in community hands. Grassroots groups and everyday residents help decide which candidates truly fight for justice, equity, and the issues that matter most to those often ignored.

We host forums, mobilize voters, and back community-led efforts that strengthen our democracy. This is your place to take action, shape leadership, and push for a government that reflects all of us. Step in and help build a future where people—not money—decide our politics.

Run for Something

SPARK (Strategy, Power, Action, Relationships, Knowledge) is our Movement Politics Department's successful blueprint for turning regular people, especially those from marginalized communities, into rising political rock stars.

In 2025, 53 individuals completed the SPARK program, where they learn how to launch campaigns, base build, and win power in their communities. Stay tuned for our 2027 program.

Movement Politics

Movement Politics is built from the ground up—powered by people, not corporations. We’re organizing beyond big-money politics, centering real conversations and campaigns shaped by the voices of those too often pushed aside. From working families to immigrants, women, and communities of color, their lived experiences drive a bold fight for racial and economic justice.

We’re not here to patch up a broken system—we’re here to transform it. Together, we’re dismantling inequality, challenging corporate power, and reimagining politics so everyone can thrive. Now is the time to step up, organize, and turn collective power into lasting change.

Environmental Justice

Environmental justice means every person deserves clean air, clean water, and a safe place to call home. Yet too many low‑income neighborhoods and communities of color face the worst pollution—from toxic dumps to industrial emissions—paying the price with their health and futures. We’re fighting back against the corporations and policies that treat some communities as disposable.

Our movement demands accountability, cleanup, and lasting protections that put people and the planet before profit. Together, we’re organizing for a Michigan—and a world—where no one’s health depends on their ZIP code. Step in, speak out, and help build a just and healthy future for all.

Immigrant Rights

Michigan’s strength lies in its diversity—and every immigrant, asylum seeker, and refugee deserves dignity, safety, and the chance to build a stable future. Yet many still face fear, separation, and barriers to basic services as harsh policies, discrimination, and surveillance target their communities. We’re standing with immigrants across the state to protect families, expand opportunity, and challenge systems that deny people their rights.

This movement is led by the communities most affected—neighbors, workers, and families organizing for safety and belonging. Together, we’re building a Michigan that welcomes everyone, no matter where they come from. Step up, speak out, and join the fight for justice and dignity for all.

Healthcare

Healthcare isn’t a privilege—it’s a human right. No one should have to choose between getting care and paying their bills. Across Michigan—from the U.P. to Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, and Saginaw—our movement is rising to demand a system that puts people before profits and guarantees quality care for every person, no matter their zip code, job, or medical history.

We’re done waiting. Our communities are organizing for universal healthcare, reproductive freedom, and policies that hold corporations and politicians accountable. Join us, stand up with your neighbors, and help win healthcare for all.
